At winter CHA 2009 I took a class using alcohol inks on different surfaces and one of them was on fabric.
My husband John is a surfer and we decided to go to surf movie night at a local surf shop the Beach House where they had some sponsors giving out prizes, one of the sponsors was Hyperflex Wetsuits. They were throwing these t-shirts to everybody that was around, John got one of the t-shirts and when I saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it. Here is a picture of the t-shirt:
I used the new Alcohol Ink Fillable Pens with the Adirondack Alcohol Inks and colored all the squares. I used Cranberry, Purple Twilight, Butterscotch, Denim and Stream.
Here is a picture of the t-shirt after I colored all the squares:
I washed the t-shirt and some of the red ink had ran just a little onto the rest of the t-shirt, and it was just as bright as it was when I first put the ink on (I forgot to take of picture of it), anyway I decided to add a little bit of bleach to clean it up a bit. This picture is after I washed it with a little bleach. It did fade a little and the Cranberry did change color but where ever the color had run the bleach took it off.
The t-shirt I did here belongs to the son of the owner of the Beach House. He liked my husbands shirt so much and asked if I would do the same to his. This is a picture of the t-shirt I did for John:
It is a lot lighter because John put it in the whites and I washed it with lots of bleach and it also has been washed many times but it still looks good.
Hope you all try this sometime.
Happy Stampings,
Maria

Very cool! I agree with Stef above about the faded colors - they still look great!

I love what you've done here with this t-shirt and especially like that you've shown it after washing. I've never done crafting on fabric because I figured it would never survive the washing. Love how you colored the t-shirt!
